LUTHERAN FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE ASSOCIATION(LFCNA)
This session will provide the participant a general understanding of the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), with an emphasis on the young-onset and atypical caregiver experience. We will highlight the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis, care planning and caregiver support to promote the highest quality of life possible for persons living with a diagnosis and families. Communication strategies, behavior management, and caregiver support resources will be discussed. The lived experience of FTD caregivers will be shared as part of this webinar.
